MPG Meeting - Alabama
In March, we and our members travelled to Birmingham, Alabama for our 2023 spring meeting. Hosted at the Hyatt Regency by our member Shoemaker Pools, and with special thanks to Beth Parker of Burleson Pools, the meeting was a huge success. We had a blast catching up with our MPG family and celebrating all the incredible pool designs and projects at our annual Excellence Awards.
Our schedule for the week included:
- Genesis course in basic pool construction
- Watershape University courses in advanced elements of design, and major renovations
- Our first ladies excursion for a fun-filled 9 holes
- Our annual Excellence Awards – celebrating our members’ amazing pool projects over the last year
- Our tabletop vendor show – where vendors and suppliers showcased their products and services for our members to peruse
- A virtual pool tour by the hosts, Shoemaker Pools
- A talk from Jesus Parra on tips & tricks for Pool Studio
- A talk about marketing on Instagram from our very own Member Josh Buzzell of Regal Pools
- Our finale night, which was a true southern celebration: a live country band playing some great music.
We hope everyone attending had a blast and we have already had some great feedback from the ladies in particular, who thoroughly enjoyed their activities throughout the course of the week!
It is, as always, such a pleasure spending time together, sharing knowledge and catching up with our MPG family.
Our next meeting is in October 2023 and we’ll reveal details nearer the time, so keep your eyes peeled!
